At Flexibits, our goal is to always provide a broad scope of compatibility for users who may not be running the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, or macOS or using the most recent Apple devices. Because of this, it’s wonderful to see Fantastical and Cardhop adopted by so many people!
However, as the vast majority of our users migrate from older operating systems, we eventually do wind down support for those older operating systems. The main reason for this is it allows us to focus on newer features and better stability. As users upgrade to newer operating systems, there are fewer users using the older operating systems, which doesn’t make sense from an optimization point of view.
Today we’re announcing that Fantastical 3.6.10 and Cardhop 2.1 will be the last versions of Fantastical and Cardhop that support iOS 14 and earlier, and macOS 10.15 and earlier.
If you are running any of these older operating systems, please update to at least iOS 15 or macOS 11 in order to use future versions of our apps.
If you do not want to update to a newer operating system, Fantastical 3.6.10 and Cardhop 2.1 will continue to work on your devices, with full access to all current features (including features that are part of the Flexibits Premium subscription). The only caveat is that any new features introduced in future updates will require you to be running at least iOS 15 and/or macOS 11 on your devices.
Thank you for your support and understanding. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next!
