Microsoft will begin phasing out Exchange Web Services (EWS) in favor of Microsoft Graph in October 2026. If you use Fantastical with Microsoft 365 you’ll need to take a moment to upgrade from EWS to Graph to continue syncing without interruption.

When is Microsoft disabling EWS?

  • October 1, 2026: Microsoft will begin disabling EWS access by default for all users.
  • April 1, 2027: EWS will be permanently shut down.

Upgrade your Microsoft 365 account in Fantastical now to avoid unexpected downtime.

How do I upgrade?

You can switch to syncing with Microsoft Graph by going to Fantastical > Settings > Accounts, selecting your Microsoft 365 account, and using the Migrate to Microsoft Graph button.

If you have multiple Microsoft 365 accounts be sure you upgrade each of your accounts.

Make sure to upgrade your Microsoft 365 accounts on all of your devices!
