In 2011, when Fantastical was born, we introduced our natural language parser to automagically add events to your calendar, beginning our journey using a basic form of AI to help easily manage your calendar.

While our parser has always made adding events to Fantastical a breeze, we’ve never stopped looking for ways to improve this process while leveraging the advancements to AI over the past 14 years.

Emails are full of important information needing to be added to our calendars, and manually entering the information by hand is extremely time consuming (even when using the trusty Fantastical parser). Knowing this, we started working on a faster and more efficient option.

Enter our newest feature: Forward emails to Fantastical! An exciting new option that leverages Fantastical, AI (Google Gemini), and your email to allow you to manage your calendar in a whole new way.

Lightning-fast event creation with minimal effort

With the new forward email feature, you can forward emails from any email address that you have linked to your Flexibits Account to [email protected], and Fantastical will try to detect events in the information and create an event or task on your calendar.

Once detected, a notification will appear in Fantastical allowing you to add, discard, or preview (in case you need to make any changes) the new event.

That’s right, two easy steps and your event is added to your calendar. No more switching back and forth between programs or having to copy and paste the event information for each individual event. 

Just forward the emails to Fantastical and let it do the hard work, while you relax knowing you won’t miss your meeting because you accidentally entered the wrong time in your calendar!

Your events, none of our business

We take your privacy very seriously here at Flexibits, and that has not changed with the introduction of this new feature. 

Any email you forward will be processed by Flexibits servers and Google Cloud and then deleted immediately after they are processed. Emails are not used or retained by Flexibits or Google Cloud for AI training purposes.

We only receive the data from emails that you forward to [email protected], and we do not have access to any of your other emails. We also only receive what is in the email you send, and nothing else.

For the events Fantastical is creating, those are only stored on the Flexibits servers until you add or discard them in Fantastical, and then they are deleted from the servers completely.
